Make the churchyard a community garden
Erect a sign, inviting people to come in and use your church land to relax and reflect on the Creator God.
It beats cheesy slogans and, depending on levels of enthusiasm, you could put a bit of effort into transforming any unused bits of church land into an even more welcoming community garden.
