Visit a mosque...

…or a gurdwara, temple, synagogue – or place of worship of any other faith.

London Central Mosque

Most will be very happy to welcome you. Why not get a small group of interested people from your church to go?

How?

Make contact with the appropriate leader at a place of worship near you. If you're not aware of one, go to yell.com, put in your postcode and search for "Places of Worship" to see what's nearby.

We have some advice available here, but ask the leader's advice on dress code and behaviour while you're there.

Get together with your group for a briefing. Pass on the advice you've gained. Take a look at our "Tips on visiting places of worship" sheet.

Reflect

Gather for a time of reflection after your visit. We've got a sheet - "Reflection questions for visiting places of worship" - that could help you.

What next?

Tell your story - use the link on the right - or leave a comment to share your tips or insights with others.

Atheists
I'm trying to engage with some atheists in academia and wondered if anyone else is doing the same?
