Become a street pastor

Braving the streets of your town or city at night is not as daunting as it first sounds. All sorts of people are Street Pastors, providing help and a kind word to people leaving nightclubs at 2am, among other things.

And if you really don't want to hit the streets, many projects are supported by prayer teams who pray while they are out and about.

How?

Contact the local Street Pastors in your area. There are over 100 projects in the UK and you can see locations here.

What next?

To be a Street Pastor you need to be over 18 (no upper age limit), a church member and able to commit to the training programme (usually 12 days over a period of five months). Each Street Pastor team consists of at least three groups of four, each of which will work a minimum of one night a month, usually from 10pm to around 4am.
