Ask for someone's help...

...if you know they can give it. You may find that by being vulnerable for a moment you open up a chance for friendship to grow.

It is supposed to be better to give than receive so let someone else have the better half by providing the giving!

But only something you know they can give and something you do really want.

It might be a cup of tea, their advice about your herb border or their time to pray for you. You are putting yourself in the vulnerable position because they can say no, but you are also giving them the chance to be gracious.

It needs to be real (only things you do actually want, no point struggling through a cuppa when you don't drink tea) and something they can manage (don’t ask for money or things they would not be willing to lend!).

You may find that by being vulnerable for a moment you open up a chance for friendship to grow.

How?

Just do it! Pray for a bit of spiritual prompting and let us know how you found the experience. Commit to doing this once a week - or at least once a month.
