Work out what is Good News for you

Before you can share it – you need to know what it is.

draw a spiritual lifemap

There are all sorts of ways...

Draw a map of your faith journey.

What are your inspirations and influences? What are the key experiences? What does this say about you? This could resemble a roadmap, a ‘mindmap’ (there’s free software available to do this - search for "mindmap") or a straightforward picture.

Reflect on what's there - how would you express the most important things to someone who had never heard of Jesus?

Answer Jesus’ question “Who do you say I am?”

Read Mark 8:27-30 and picture yourself among the disciples. Answer Jesus' question honestly for yourself. Do you actually live as if your answer is true? What would life be like if you did?

Reflect on which Bible passage you most identify with

Think about how you wouldd express what this says to you in your own words.

What next?

Have you discovered a good way to reflect on what the gospel means to you and to express that to others? Leave a comment below.
