The growth of God's kingdom in Nepal
Please join Christians in Nepal in praying for the growth of God's kingdom and revival in Nepal: for a renewed zeal and passion for prayer, and that the Kingdom of God will be established across Nepal; to see at least one church and one trained leader in each village throughout Nepal; for church growth among the Nepali diaspora around the world; for God's blessing to flow from the highest place in the world to the rest of the world; for the success of 40 Days of Global Prayer for Nepal http://www.prayerfornepal.org/40-days-prayer-2012 - that many would join in prayer across Nepal and beyond.

Kathmandu slum - and ministry - destroyed
Kathmandu slum - and ministry - destroyed
"I have bad news about our project," says CMS Timothy mission partner Ram Prasad Shrestha. "I got news from our staff in Kathmandu that today, Government has bulldozed whole slum of Bagmati river. 3000 police came with the bulldozer to broke down all the huts. Many people have been injured when they tried to retaliate and some child are missing as witness said. Huts and our school and church building have been turned to dust/ rubbles. People hardly had any chance to remove their stuff. So far, we do not know where the government is going to place them but there is greater needs for comfort and more care for the children whom we were teaching and caring. They have become shelter less and even may would not have food to eat and place to live under. I have asked our staffs rent new station and give contact details to all children, where they can come and continue their education temporarily.

Pray for Nepal's society
Pray for Nepal's society
Christians in Nepal (http://www.prayerfornepal.org/40-days-prayer-2012) ask us to join them in praying for the country's social problems: for an end to injustice, oppression and poverty; for the proper rehabilitation of the victims of the conflict and also natural disasters. Pray that God would intervene in such natural calamities; for Nepali young people to avoid drug-addiction and be engaged in productive activities, and for the Government of Nepal to create more and more employment opportunities for them; against the trafficking of women and children; pray for God's intervention and control against abortion and abortion law in Nepal; for the organisations working to overcome poverty and injustice in the country; for the success of the movement of the Nepali Christian Community - 'Christian Commitment for New Nepal'. Nepali Christians have identified a number of major social problems, including corruption, lack of education, caste discrimination, unemployment, violence against women, etc. May the church continue to be bold enough to advocate and assign resources to address these issues and fulfill their commitment towards building of a new Nepal, and bridge the gap between the church, civil society and the Government of Nepal.
