Pray for Nepal's societyChristians in Nepal (http://www.prayerfornepal.org/40-days-prayer-2012) ask us to join them in praying for the country's social problems: for an end to injustice, oppression and poverty; for the proper rehabilitation of the victims of the conflict and also natural disasters. Pray that God would intervene in such natural calamities; for Nepali young people to avoid drug-addiction and be engaged in productive activities, and for the Government of Nepal to create more and more employment opportunities for them; against the trafficking of women and children; pray for God's intervention and control against abortion and abortion law in Nepal; for the organisations working to overcome poverty and injustice in the country; for the success of the movement of the Nepali Christian Community - 'Christian Commitment for New Nepal'. Nepali Christians have identified a number of major social problems, including corruption, lack of education, caste discrimination, unemployment, violence against women, etc. May the church continue to be bold enough to advocate and assign resources to address these issues and fulfill their commitment towards building of a new Nepal, and bridge the gap between the church, civil society and the Government of Nepal.
