Pat and Pam Brooks, visiting Burundi, have been encouraged by a visit to the Bethesda Project (empowering disabled people through outdoor sports), started by Lucy and Steve McIlhenny. "Now that they are leaving after two years there is a great need for someone, familiar with this type of work in Africa, to carry on. Please join us in praying about this. Bridget, who has pioneered similar work in Tanzania is here at the moment and will return for 6 months from July. Friday morning the bishop took me to a man-made lake where the Minister of the Environment was introducing fish into the lake using the Bethesda Project canoes. She was dressed for the part in jeans and a tee shirt, and she paid tribute to the work of the Project, which was so good to hear."
