Lucy and Steve McIlhenny are Salt partners working on the Bethesda Project in Muyinga, bringing together disabled and able-bodied kids for fun activities. "Our land has been given to us by the Minister of the Environment. However there is a man who is growing bananas on (and next to) part of our land. He is claiming that the government have given away his land and he is taking the government to court for that in an attempt to get more land from the government. However he is also claiming (falsely) that we've ruined his bananas and wants to receive around £3,000 compensation. We are not feeling too worried about it as Bishop Eraste is handling everything and assures us that the Governor of Muyinga and the Minister of the Environment are on our side and are not too concerned about the case. However things can change very rapidly here and we feel it is really important to keep praying - for justice, for a peaceful resolution and for God to protect what he has given us.
